People often worry about what to wear for engagement photos. The answer is to keep it simple. We want you two to stand out in the photos so solid colours and minimal patterns are your best choice.
Here are some helpful tips including a colour pallet for you to consider
If it’s a cooler time of year, wearing layers is an excellent way to show texture and enhance colour tones. Sport coats, sweaters, jackets and scarves are great accessories to bring along for your engagement shoot. You can interchange them throughout the session for different looks.
Stripes and patterns
Stripes and patterns can look really good in moderation. If one of you are wearing strong patterns, the other person should opt for solid colours as their outfit choice.
Bright colours work best if it’s one piece of your outfit. For example, a nice red jacket for a snowy winter session or a bright blue sweater for fall time.
These should be clean and match your outfit of choice, weather permitting. Whatever you’re comfortable walking around in will do the trick.
Avoid visible Logos
That's right! No matter how nice of a brand it may be, your photos should not be an advertisement.
Discuss your attire with you photographer(s) ahead of time. They can help you plan and style your engagement session to best suit you.
