Moody skies and some trendy decor at Ceilo's garden made for a fairy tale wedding for Kristen and Keith. These two are surrounded by so many loving family and friends we couldn't have been happier to be their Wedding Photographers.
Damon & Kendell Wedding - Niverville Heritage Centre
Damon and Kendell’s Wedding day began at the Four Points Sheraton in Winnipeg with their Wedding parties. They all got ready while sipping fine wine and laughing away their morning jitters. Their first look took place in the lobby bar which was fitting since Kendell himself is quite the wine connoisseur. We continued the day by heading to Winnipeg’s iconic Forks Market location where the temperatures reached well into the high 30s. We took shelter from the heat inside Via Rail and The Commons and managed not to melt when we spent some time outside around The Canadian Museum for Human Rights for their formal photos. The ceremony and reception took place at the beautiful Niverville Heritage Centre where family and friends came together and brought laughter and happy tears for these two and danced the night away. We were happy as photographers to document such an incredible pair.
Jackie and Braden said "I do" during a beautiful outdoor ceremony at Ashgrove Acres. Joined by their adorable son Jayden, their "first look" moment is one of our favorites. At the end of the evening this crowd was full of energy and danced the night away!
This was one of two styled shoots we did while visiting Iceland. Margrett and Ingih have such romantic chemistry we had a hard time choosing our favourites to share! This shoot takes place in some "secret" areas found around Skogafoss and Vik. We drove around in a Landrover Defender and had a really fun time working with these two.
We began our day with Evelyn & Chris at the Best Western Hotel to capture some fun candid moments of their morning preparations for their wedding day. They were picked up by The Winnipeg Trolley Company In the coolest old school trolley bus Winnipeg has to offer. We took them to one of our favourite quiet streets in The Exchange District for their first look in front of the trolley and then walked around Waterfront to create some fun formals with their bridal party before their traditional Jewish wedding ceremony. After they said ‘I Do’ we took them to Assiniboine Park for a few more cutesy-cuddly photos in the fall colours before heading back to the hotel to enjoy their decked out reception hall and dance the night away. Their Hora dance was a huge highlight for us as we love shooting wedding traditions that we don’t get to see everyday.
Signe and Aaron’s wedding was the perfect dreamy style. The girls got all dolled up at the Fort Garry Hotel while the guys spent the morning perfecting their gaming skills in the Billiards room at the Manitoba Club. The MB club staff along with decor by Planned Perfectly set up an amazing intimate outdoor ceremony and cocktail hour. The reception continued upstairs with the most scrumptious deserts catered by the Manitoba Club themselves. Family and friends gathered for speeches and mingling while Signe and Aaron shared their first dance in front of the picturesque night sky window light.
When it rains it pours or at least it did on Nicole and Wilson's wedding day! This gave us the chance to use a rustic barn on their property for some beautiful flash inspired photos. Luckily the rain went away just in time for a short trip to downtown Winnipeg for some more bridal photos before their ceremony and finished the evening off in their beautiful back yard. They even had goats!
Grace & Grady Love Story - Vernazza, Italy
We met Grace and Grady while literally trekking the Cinque Terre in beautiful Italy. Grady was only visiting for a weeks stay while Grace was finishing her studies on a 6 month program in Florence. Their last morning together was spent with us photographing them amongst the colourful Italian landscape.
Evelyn & Chris Love Story - Westhawk Lake
When Evelyn and Chris mentioned a canoe ride for their Love Story session we were all in! We followed these two up and down the Westhawk lake trail with cameras in hand while they paddled down the lake. Afterwards, we went for a hike to catch a romantic sunset on a hill.
Where do we start with this beautiful styled shoot! The weather was cold, a little wet and the wind was something else, but we couldn't get enough of this Icelandic viking inspired roots! Hildi and Tryggvi were an amazing couple to work with. We began this session on the top of a steep cliff near Vik, Iceland followed by a walk along the black sand beach surrounded by amazing rock formations and sea caves. Skogafoss was our last stop where the couple kept warm by cuddling in front of this beautiful waterfall. We can't wait to visit Iceland again, its picture perfect views are nothing short of wow!
This pinterest inspired intimate wedding was the cutest! Samantha and Dan did an amazing job by hosting the entire event at their family cottage in Seven Sister Falls. Along with their two cute pups we snuck away for a few candid photos just a boat ride away to a secluded island. The most amazing meal was prepared by Chef Ben Kramer while these two were surrounded by their closest family and friends.
The Met in the heart of downtown Winnipeg was the perfect location to celebrate Katrina and Eric’s big day. Stylized to perfection by Amanda Douglas Events and her team, this set up was nothing less than a romantic indoor dream. Flowers by Melanie were delivered bright and early while the ladies were made up by Grace Hill Salon and Vow Artistry. Katrina and Eric opted for a first look at Stephen Juba Park alongside the Mere Hotel surrounded by their wedding party. We continued with bridal photos along Waterfront Drive and ended near Bell MTS centre with the pair sporting their favourite Winnipeg Jets hockey jerseys. The night was filled with love as their family delivered heartfelt speeches about the couple. We were even able to capture some shots from the Met’s second floor balcony with the newlyweds. As wedding photographers we love how Katrina and Eric trusted our photo vision and we were so happy to be part of their day.
When Melissa & Gavin asked us to photograph their 10 year anniversary vow renewal we were so honoured. Melissa, of Sugar & Soul Photography, is one of the best Winnipeg wedding photographers around and we were very happy to have her as our own wedding photographer in 2016.
Dozens of their closest friends and family were invited to their cabin in Lake of the Woods, Kenora to celebrate with them after they renewed their vows on a private island across the lake. The location was dreamy and these two were even dreamier.
For their 5th year as husband and wife, Amanda and Corey celebrated with an intimate vow renewal on Lester Beach. As the sun started to set it couldn't have turned out more beautiful! Corey and Amanda are also amazing photographers (COJO Photo) and we were so flattered to be asked to be a part of this gorgeous evening.
This elegant and intimate backyard wedding was to die for. After a fun-filled morning, Marta & Jon tied the knot in a clear tent perfectly styled by Alex (Alexandra Lillian Weddings & Events). After the ceremony we all headed to Birds Hill Park for some beautiful formal photos before going back to their home to party the night away. Thanks Marta & Jon, for having us as your wedding photographers.
Azure and Andrew’s beautiful Whitetail Meadow wedding began with morning prep inside their quaint wedding cottage. As Andrew saw his bride for the first time down the aisle the pair were showered with elegant roses a different colour to represent each side of their families. We continued with photos along the perfectly landscaped property of Whitetail Meadow ensuring to capture many family moments for this crowd. A few days later Azure and Andrew brought us to their home in Bruxelles, Manitoba for a day after session to take more beautiful photos of them in their wedding attire at their farm. We walked, ran and drove around the family farm and the rolling hills of Bruxelles, much of what resembled Tuscany, Italy in our minds. We finished this dreamy session as the sunset over a large Bruxelles landscape.
